Update Install Failed

Hi,

 

When I try to install Update from Application desktop, I  receive this error:

"Unable to verify digital sign for this installation"

and the installation failed.

 

I have to setup any otion?

Get your updates through the UPDATE link on your accounts webpagehttps://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/all , choose the webbrowser-download method, then install your updates: does that solve the problem?

Could you please check that, client machine have Autodesk root certificates or not?

 

What is the version of autodesk desktop app you are uing?

 

Please try this

  • Exit ADA(from system tray menu)
  • Stop AdAppMgr Service (windows task manager)
  • %Programdata% > Autodesk > Delete the “SDS” folder
  • Restart ADA.

 

Still you have problem, please try this,

 

I would like to know more about the issue. could you please send me the log files?

May i know the update which you were tried to install and got the error?

 

 

 

Here is the steps to check Autodesk root certificates.

1.search for “certmgr.msc" from windows search

  1. click trusted root certification authorities
  2. click certificates
  3. check for Autodesk-CA and Versign certificates.

I checked for certificates, I have 3 Verisign certificates but I don't have Autododesk.

Could you please mention the name of the update you are seeing this error?

 

Here is the certificates. Please try to install certificates.

 

https://internalca.autodesk.com/certsrv/

https://knowledge.symantec.com/support/ssl-certificates-support/index?page=content&id=so4785

If it’s for signed applications, they need https://knowledge.symantec.com/support/ssl-certificates-support/index?page=content&actp=CROSSLINK&id...

If it's for SSL they need: https://knowledge.symantec.com/support/ssl-certificates-support/index?page=content&actp=CROSSLINK&id...

 

 Need to download the root certificates and import them into Keystore. Double clicking the certificates on windows start the import.

 

After installation of certificates then try below steps and then try to install the update.

  • Exit ADA(from system tray menu)
  • Stop AdAppMgr Service (windows task manager)
  • %Programdata% > Autodesk > Delete the “SDS” folder
  • Restart ADA.

Hi,

Yes I have unistalled  and reinstalled it many times.

 

All of certificates indicates are present on my PC.

 

I tried to click on https://internalca.autodesk.com/certsrv/ but I receive an error message: Unable to find DNS

This is a network configuration issue. The Browser is not able to resolve the URL to an IP Address, because he cannot find a DNS Server. Please check your network configuration or ask you company IT Admin for help to get this fixed.

can also be the result of network issue. If the downloaded files are corrupt or not fully downloaded you also can get such a message. 

 

Please give us a feedback about your network configuration and if you or your IT Admin could fix the network problem.
