By default Plant 3D does not include instruments in the BOM of isometrics. Some companies show this component while others do. To do this the admin must go into the IsoConfig.xml file and edit it. I believe that an easier solution would be under project set, under isometrics. A toggle could be added. If a company wanted to show the instruments then they could turn it on. If not then leave it off.

Currently it is only possible to create a project backup if all project folders and files are located inside of the main project folder. If some files or folders are outside the main project folder, it is not possible to create a project backup and you have to adopt the project structure just to be able to create a project backup. In some circumstances it is better to have some folders outside of the main project folders for a better company integration. So, it should not matter where the files are located but "Create Project Backup" will just take them and move them to the standard project folders of the created project backup.

In order to manage Dynamic Block Parameters used in P&ID Symbols, for instance a wipeout in an instrument using a Linear Parameter tied to #(TargetObject.Type) and #(TargetObject.LoopNumber), it would be nice to have the Assign Format actually work on the Dynamic Block Parameters instead of relying on typing or copying the Property Label Name. In addition, it would be nice to have options in the Assign Format for Points such as AttachmentPoint1 and AttachmentPoint1:EndCode90, etc.

Allow for the capability to change the precision of the Cutback angle field that appears in the BOQ on the Isometric when the option for the Cutback Angle to be displayed is turned on.

I would like to request a global plot vs no-plot variable for the Off-Page Connector status icons. We sometimes use multiple printing methods and get varying results. Some methods display the OPC status icons, while others do not. Ultimately, we do not want our clients to see the icons, but appreciate them for internal use. We currently plot through the normal AutoCAD plot command, publish command, and also through the BlueBeam plugin. Having an overriding plot control variable for these icons would allow us to have better control over our PDFs and would provide greater flexibility with printing options. Thanks! Craig

As mentioned in the subject, we need to make a modification to the class definition in our project setup. It would be highly beneficial if we could edit the names of class definitions within the project setup. Currently, there is no option available to edit the name in the project setup. I have attached a reference indicating the specific name that requires modification. For example, I want to change the name of Control Valve to On-Off Valve.

Currently the only method to select multiple cells for sizes in the Branch Table is using the CTRL key one cell at a time or the SHIFT key which really never works since it selects a bunch of cells you don't want. All this is time consuming when most the time you are editing cells with like settings. There needs to be an option where you can select all cell sizes that are set identically in order to edit those globally. For instance using the out of the box CS150 Spec, you select the 8" Header 6" Branch which is set to T002,R001,S001 - right click "Select Similar" and every cell/size that is set the same is selected (in this case a total of 27 cells would be selected) and ready for a Multi Branch Selection edit. You could then use the CTRL key to remove the ones you don't want or add additional cells but the majority of what you need would be ready to go. Two additional improvements would be to have the ability to setup Multi Branch Selections in the Legend itself so that you could create your preference (ie: TRS = R001,T002,S001) then you could just set those 27 cells above straight to TRS. Lastly, User Definable Color Settings for the Legend that change the colors of the cells for a visual clarity on what you have actually set. For instance: S001 = Green, TS (T001,S001) = Red, TRS (above) = Blue It would be so much easier to manage if you could see the ones set identically and select them all in a couple of clicks.

1. Add a method that will populate the Column ID Property of a Structural Member based on the Grid. So a Column that is placed on the Grid at the intersection of Axis B and Row 3 would get a Column ID of B-3. If two columns are in between Row 3 and 4 then they would be B-3.1 and B-3.2. 2. Allow the user to setup a Format for Column ID's: B-3 or B3 or whatever else they might require. 3. In an Ortho Drawing, allow the user to Dimension and Annotate the Grid automatically with the Row and Axis name. 4. Currently the Grid is placed on the Steel layer - allow the Grid to be placed on it's own layer in an Ortho with a center line linetype - after all it it the centerline of your columns.

Existing - Gray New - Green Demolition - Gray with Hatch Solution applied: By using P&ID Painter Settings, Color by Status added for component color change. Output getting: It is partially helping to get the required output. As following things are not happening: Demolition status - Hatching option not available in P&ID Painter Settings Annotation placed with the component is not changing the color same as component Requirement: Seeking help - 1. Hi We have many projects/sites on ACC (500 plus) and we miss some function for proper working on AutoCAD Plant 3D. 1. On the Project Manger from P3D we miss additional information from the Collaboration Project. It would be nice if we would have the parent folder name or some attribute from ACC on the Project Manager. 2. We also miss a filter/search function on the Dialog ''Collaboration for Plant 3D''. Once you have created custom project and drawing properties you cannot change the sequence. The only way to do this currently is delete them and add them back in the correct order. We need a Move Up and Move Down button like in the AutoCAD File Support Paths so that you can re-sequence how they appear to the users when editing.

A lot of fabrication shops right now use ACORN, Spoolgen or SpoolCAD for actual spool fabrication drawings, but i think AutoCAD PLANT 3D should have that feature too. I know Plant 3D has a "Spool" format but in fab shops we want the fabricators to focus on just one sheet, not two or three sheets with continuations. So it would be great if Plant 3D could split drawings from flange to flange and have one single spool piece in a single drawing sheet.

The folders created in the Ortho tab are not copied over to a new project created from a template project. We use the same folders for all projects and it's not interesting thing to create all folders for all new projects. I know folders copying works for Source Files tab, and if it works for Orthographic DWG tab,it would be very useful. Thank you.

It would be a real time saver and have less chance for error if equipment nozzles could be set by default in project setup. So instead of defaulting to a 4" 300# RF nozzle being able to set equipment to say 150# or FF or starting at 2" could save time and error.

Trying to get my off page connectors working. But they are not passing the All the data that is on the original line. I have changed how lines work quite a bit actually. First I am using the target objects properties to make the tag. This allows me to create an assembly and put it in my toll pallet as a block without losing the data that would have been stored in the PipelineGroup. This data does not exist with the block. Secondly I have forsaken the LineNumber Property. Instead opting for a segmented approach. the area which is pulling from the Drawing Properties. iLoop which is part of the PipelineGroup Properties. This allows me to copy a drawing change one drawing property and change every device on the page. I am also acquisition these properties to every device via the lines connected so it is a true cascade of data. The issues are that: 1. Line number doesn't get set. so i have to set it manually only when i need to add an off page connector. --> It would be nice to be able to concatenate the ,Spec, Service, iArea, iLoop, iGroup, and iNumber into the LineNumber Property. Frankly on both sides my Line Tag is the same so i just want to make sure it's Tag and data are the same. Infact it would be great to be able to concatenate an acquisition from multiple properties. 2. Certain Properties don't get passed to the destination line. The Custom properties I've made for example don't get populated. --> It would also be beneficial to pass all properties to the Destination line. It's the exact same pipe line why wouldn't everything pass. 3. The View connected does not include the custom properties that should match. --> It would be beneficial to be able to edit these and do a set up of those columns. This might already be possible in one of the xml files but I haven't looked as yet. any info regarding this would be helpful. 4. The Tags don't have to match. --> I'm looking to make these tags match. (would have been nice for a project option for this as check box.)

Is not possible to select a destination sub folder when creating a collaboration project. By default, the project gets uploaded into the "project files" folder and then a subfolder for each project is created Within multi disciplinair projects it is preferable to place the project in a subfolder of the Process engineers.

I know that is a basic AutoCAD function but in Plant3D and the visualization of the Model in BIM 360, It is currently not possible to manipulate directly overlay Xrefs in the Model Coordination Viewer. Note Navisworks manage Xrefs don't show up when an Xref is an overlay no matter the attachment level.

In the project settings you can set a Tool palette group association for both P&ID and Plant 3D however when you have Plant 3D it never uses the P&ID setting and always opens to the Plant 3D settings which never matches the Workspace that you are currently set to. This should be changed to a Workspace setting instead of a group association and instead of when a project is first opened it should be set to a drawing when first opened. So that when you open a P&ID it defaults to the P&ID Workspace that you have it set to. When you open a Plant 3D drawing it defaults to the Plant Workspace that it is set to.
