Show Pipe length in Metric in an Imperial Project

I have an imperial project, and in the Isometrics I want to display the pipe sizes (diameter) in inches but display the length of the pipe in metric. I don't want to change any units in the 3D model, just in the isometrics.

Dear @lplourdeV9N9F ,

Unfortunately, this function is not supported by Plant 3D.
For your project you should create the projects in Mixed Metric so that it works.
Changing the project details later on can destroy the project.

Thanks for the reply. That was what I was afraid of. Would it be easy for me to copy the entire project to a new project to be able to select mixed metric? Can I keep everything else in my project directory like templates?

Hello

Sorry for my English, which I don't speak and whose post has been translated with google Translator

Here is an approach to output isometrics in MM units from a project defined in INCH.

For that I created a new iso style "Final_ANSI-C metric" which is the copy of the style "Final_ANSI-C"

In this new style I modified the "IsoConfig.xml" file to apply the MM parameters for the nomenclature and coordinates part

sortie iso metrique 1.png

In the "Iso.dwt" file I modified the "AdskIsoImperial" dimension style to apply a metric dimensional unit and a unit scale factor of 25.4 to it.

sortie iso metrique.png

This setting is only an approach which may require some readjustment.

See Screecast

I attach the file of the iso style "Final_ANSI-C metrique" which is in French.

Bonjour

Thanks! This is pretty much what I ended up figuring out myself. Glad to know it wasn't completely insane. Now I know the proper way is to verify the units right at the beginning of the project but this will work for now just to fix a few drawings.
