Plant 3D P&ID Custom Valve - Flange

I created a custom angle valve that is simply an angle valve with a handle. I created the symbol block by starting with the block for the default angle valve and simply drew the handle in place. When I try to set the custom angle valve in place with the end connections being flanged, the flanges are upsized by a factor of 4. 

I've attached a screen shot of the default valve and the custom valve I created. Does anyone know why AutoCAD does this and how to correct it?

Thanks!! This was in fact the problem.  I had to do some modifying of the block to make sure the appearance, but it solved my problem.
