AutoCAD Mobile crash with Leica Disto D2

Hi,

I have a Leica Disto D2 laser distance meter.

Connection of Disto is working ok, but almost every time when I took a measure with Disto, AutoCAD crash and restart itself.

It does the same with my tablet and also phone.

I have reinstall the AutoCAD again, but still same issue.

Phone is Samsung S10+ with Android 10.

Tablet is Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e, also with Android 10 sw.

This is quite irritating when try to work with this.

Any ideas what could cause this issue?

Thank you!

Hi Marko @Anonymous

Welcome to the AutoCAD Mobile Forum.

I understand. That sounds frustrating.

Did the issue come with a recent update and it worked before - or did it appear straight away when using the Disto D2 in combination with the Mobile App?

Best regards,

Thomas

Hello and thank you!

Both, Disto and Samsung tablet are new, so mobile SW version of AutoCAD is latest one. It has been like this from the beginning. Same also with my smart phone.

I'm not sure is it possible to have some how older version for tablet?

Regards,

Marko

Are you using the latest Android app? (5.0.2)
According to Google play it should include an updated Leica integration - maybe you should give it another try.

ialso have the Leica Disto 2.  I discovered if you have not started to draw a line, AutoCAD Mobile will crash.  Try Starting a line at a point then shting the Disto 2 for the measurement.

Hello and sorry for late answer.

Actually after last SW updates (AutoCad and also Android SW), drawing with Leica working even worse.

It seems to be ok to create a connection between tablet and Leica Disto, but it just simple does not draw anything by Disto. It's ok to use manually, but not with Disto.

I have tried to reinstall the Autocad Mobile, but same issue.

There is another posted tread, New Updated 2021 AutoCAD Mobile and Leica Disto D2 problems, where the fact that the updated version was not working with the Disto was discussed.  The problem has been addressed.  It  may work now.
