Can't Draw On Layout?

We're looking at using A-cad Mobile for our field construction inspectors to use for as-built drawings. Seems that the best place to do this would be on the plan sheet layout tab. But the drawing and other tools all disappear when going to the layout tab. Is this correct or am I missing something?

iPad, not sure of the OS, but it updated two days ago to presumably the latest.

Hello @Anonymous

Welcome to the AutoCAD Mobile Forum.

I just tested the behavior on both (iOs and Android) and I see what you are experiencing. In the AutoCAD web app the functions stays stable on the side when switching between ModelSpace and Layout but in the mobile app it disappears and is not reachable.

Let me check internally and come back to you on this.

Thanks,

Thomas

Hello @Anonymous

I just got internal feedback.

With the current status of the mobile app it is not possible to draw on the layout. The issue is now forwarded internally, but it is not a guarantee that it will be implemented soon. Please add your wish also pro-actively to the AutoCAD mobile ideas station.

For now drawing on the layout is possible in the AutoCAD web app and the AutoCAD desktop app. I recommend to use one of both and to save the file to make the drawn objects available in the mobile app.

I understand. We are going to try to use AutoCAD Mobile so that our construction inspectors can do "as-built" sketches of the new construction on a copy of the design drawing. I'll instruct them to draw in model space.
