If you have been the only one using your files, what versions do you use or have been using to open the files? As far as the hardware or file location, I believe that he is asking if you have saved the files in any new locations that might have settings that differ from where they once were located. There is also a chance that the file itself is corrupted, this AKN article has the steps to run PURGE, AUDIT and -PURGE on the file and then how to WBLOCK it into a new clean file. Hope this helps!
