OSNAP modes still snapping after disabled

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

I recently installed Acad Mechanical 2018 and am getting error in using osnap as desired. The default setting had endpoint, midpoint, intersection, node selections checked and when I uncheck all of them but atleast one (for instance node), it doesn't take effect. It still snaps to all pre selected osnaps even though the osnap settings menu shows only the node selection checked. Kindly advise if there is a solution to solve this issue/error.

Thanks

sarora

Hello,

Can you please check if the Sysvar OSNAPOVERRIDE is set to 1? If is 1, please change it to 0.

Also please check the OSMODE System variable.

This should allow you to change your default OSNAP settings.

Hope this helps.

Thank You,

Hi Cheryl,

The issue has been resolved due to the following users post in the forum.

Osnap settings turning off

Many Thanks to 'pchabot' for posting the same in the forum. Although I would still like to know how to cycle through the various user settings (4 in total) stored in the Power snap configurations as per attached.

Thanks

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank your for the information on how you solved your problem. On your follow up question, I do not know of a way to cycle through the Power Snap Global Configurations. I believe the only way to change that is through the AMPOWERSNAPS dialog box.

However, another user may well have written a LISP routine for this. You could ask in the AutoCAD Customizations forum for LISP.
