Hello @bbasan675XZ
Here's a workflow that works if you have a few points. It's easy to enter a few points one-by-one. However, if you have 74 points, you'll need a more efficient way to insert them.
<<For a long list of Lat/Long points, you can enter them in Map3D using an Excel spreadsheet. Entering Lat/Longs from a properly formatted spreadsheet is not covered in this post. If you want that procedure, please start a new post and a separate set of instructions will be provided.>>
To begin open a clean, brand new imperial template (not metric) and assign one of these coordinate systems: IL83-EF or IL83-WF. Which one you choose will depend on the County where your site is located. <<This exercise uses IL83-EF (EPSG 3435). Assign the appropriate coordinate system before beginning the steps shown below.>>
- Go Geolocation Tab=>Tools Panel=>Mark Position Dropdown=>Lat-Long Icon.
- On command line type in 41.891863=>ENTER for Latitude. On command line type in -87.605102 for Longitude=>ENTER
- At your cursor which is now flashing in modelspace, type in 'MyPoint' (or another ID label) then left-click a BLANK area in modelspace to insert your geomarker and end the GEOMARKLATLONG command.
- Select the geomarker you just created=>Go to Properties Palette=>Change size to 200 (you can increase/decrease size later). This geomarker's Lat and Long will be displayed at the bottom of the Properties Palette. The x/y values are referenced to Illinois State Plane coordinates, NAD83, East Zone, Feet (EPSG 3435) and will also be displayed in the Prop Palette under the Geometry Section. (The position-x and position-y value always adopts or inherits the units of the assigned coordinate system.)
- OPTIONAL: If you want higher precision in your Lat/Long coordinates, then enter UNITS on command line=>Change precision to 6-decimal places.

Step-5
Finally, you can turn on Bing Hybrid for an aerial photo background. If you have performed this exercise using IL83-EF coordinate system and entered the same Lat/Long shown above, then your geomarker will be positioned at Navy Pier.
