Hi all !
I need to reinstall a copy of Autocad Map 3D 2009 on a workstation, but I think we de not save a copy of the installer. We have a DVD of Map 2008, but we upgraded to 2009 via an ESD installer (downloaded exe).
I thought I could just connect to my Autodesk Account a re-download it from here, but the download list is totally empty (except for free things like Autocad 360 etc.).
Can someone give me an URL to download this installer please ?
Thanks a lot !
Hi Robert, thanks for your answer.
You mean it's too old so they removed it ?
But I bought the software, so am I not in the right to install it if I want to ?
I know now that I should have kept the installer on a backup media, but since it was freely downloadable I though it was a loss of time and backup space to keep it on my computer...
Hi,
I think Autodesk provides the current and the last three releases for download. I have access till version 2013 in SubCenter.
Of course, if you bought a license you can use it. But Autodesk is probably not obliged to provide you with a download for an old(er) version.
If you have access to SubCenter you also have access to Support - why don't you ask if they can provide you with a 2009 install package?
If you are on subscription - I'm not sure if you will get a license from Autodesk for 2009. I think subscription contract allows current release and prevoius three versions. This has nothing to do with perpetual licenses and ADSKs current change of not selling those licenses anymore.
Rob
Thanks Robert
Indeed I'm going to ask in the support section, but I think I know already what they are going to reply...
I also asked my reseller but he is not showing a lot of interest in my request, his suggestion is the one I expect from Autodesk : upgrade.
I'm sure Autodesk is not (legally) obliged to let me redownload this installer, it just seems fair to me.
Thanks for your help anyway !
Just to let you know that Autodesk Support gave me a download link without any problem.
Thanks a lot to them for that !
