VIEW PORT GET LOCKED!!!

Hello - I'm really frustrated.  For some reason my viewport is locked.  Has happen many times.  I've checked all layers; unfroze, unlock etc.  I'm unable to click on the ViewPort to delete it.  I've tried to Use the Unlock botton in the Layout Menu, but I'm unable to select any part of the view port...  Youtube has nothing to help...

Any advise out there?

The first question, are you in a layout paperspace? or modelspace? Modelspace viewports are a completely different thing to layout viewports, (they should really be named differently) they are controlled in the 'Model viewports' tab on the ribbon which is unavailable in a layout tab.

if it is a layout viewport you should be able to select it locked or not, can you post the file so someone can see what is going on? Posting a screenshot might help someone to see what the issue might possibly be.
