Standard scale list issue

I have a problem on a few of my .dwg files but not all of them - so I know it must be a setting somewhere.  When I try to change a viewport scale via the pull down menu (properties, misc, standard scales) I can see the available scales but the curser jumps over the options and doesn't allow me to select the scale I want. I can still change the scale via the 'custom scale' dialogue box, so I have a workaround- but such a simple problem is driving me crazy!  I can't find an answer on any forum topics so far. Please help....

What version of LT are you using?

Is it updated to the latest version?

Works fine here. If it only happens in "some files", maybe you need to fix those files with RECOVER command. Do you know how to use that command?

ALSO... Have you installed the LT2022.1.2 Update yet? ABOUT command will confirm what you have installed. If not, get it from your Autodesk Account Page here https://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/updates

I have done and uploaded my 1st ever screencast- but no idea where it went! I'm off to a meeting now....hoping the 'fixer fairies' will have a solution when I return 🤞

As for me the only thing I can suggest is delete that viewport and then make a new one.

Odd behaviour indeed, can you post a copy of the file to see if we get the same results. Or maybe can find what the problem is?

FYI the problem was not solved. I've just been too busy to post on the forum.

I can continue working by manually typing in the scale rather than using the pull down menu. I have also opened an old drawing from 2 years ago this morning and that too has the same issue.

As mentioned before: Upload one sample(.dwg) an tell us the scale name

and create screencast - also mentioned before.

If  I have to guess, i think inside your file you have one or more other scales with the same scale-defintion.

(not the name is the same, but the definition behind).

This is a blank template drawing I created myself. The viewport I first try to change the scale is working fine at this point but there are some odd scales that I want to remove. The second viewport I try to change has the problem I am trying to decribe- at this point I have used the scale list edit function to remove unwanted scales. You can see I cannot select the scale I want even though the sale is there. Sometimes and for no appearent reason the veiwport works as normal- but the 1:200 scale appears on the top of the scale list with others I have not added/ seen before.

Would you please test it with your uploaded file again?

Because if I open your "test.dwg", the upper right viewport IS LOCKED

and your sample in screencast it isn't - it isn't the same file and the viewport isn't locked.

Make no sense to compare different files.

Note: With our uploaded file, I don't have problems with my

AutoCAD 2022.1.2

and also not with my Acad LT 2022(.0.0)

What is your product version? Check it, command: ABOUT

What is your OS ?

You can just unlock the vp- the scale problem will be when changing an unlocked VP to a predetermined scale in the pull down menu

lol - That is not the point, the point is that we compare the same filestate/data!

Of course, I've done this before and I've already told you:
I have no problems with the file!
Neither in ACAD LT 2022.0.0 nor in AutoCAD 2022.1.2

1. I asked you if you could please check the problem again in your uploaded file
2. I asked for your product version, command: ABOUT

As I said: I couldn't understand the problem, it works for me with your TEST.dwg file without any problems.

If you can not focus to your technical issue - IO am sorry, but this is you problem.

Try to read the technical information and ignore whatever scratching your feelings.

I am sorry too- I need to work right now. I have a workaround for this and hoped it was a quick fix, clearly it is not.  Work comes first so apologies I can't just quickly re do what I had done wrong before. Product Version as below- I will try to look at resending the .dwg file when I can.

PS Language is one thing, but no need for all the exclamation marks-  IT'S LIKE WRITING WITH CAPS LOCK ON. I have not taken offense, or have bruised feelings but rather surprised that assistance is offered in such a curt manner.

Please try it your uploaded TEST.dwg - if you have the same issue in this file - I am sorry, but I can not reproduce the isse on my side.

If you can't reproduce the issue in this file, please share another one.

I wrote in caps lock the IMPORTANT parts like differences or COMMAND names,

that's absolutely usual and a good syntax. Also in official Books and tutorials.
