Great. All set and ready to work with subscription and Win10 etc..then find my HP driver HP 500 driver for some reason doesnt work!

So now do I have to buy another plotter?!!! Every time I upgrade Autocad I get driver issues. What other programme ever does this? I suppose Autodesk blames HP and vise versa; conveniently leaving us Users to be scammed again with another purchase. I may as well back save my work to Lt 12 and get on with earning a living.Smiley Mad

One way I got mine to work was through networking the computers. Arch 2018 on the win 10 and the HP 500 connected to the win 7 computer. Then when you click print you pick the HP 500 on the win 7 computer to print. It has worked fine for a few months and now the icon just spins when we click the printer icon.  Make sense?

Since I have had some issues with the network I attached the HP 500 to a different com in the network and now it is working fine! Fingers crossed!

OK. Now I did it! I went and bought a Canon IPF780 and it still locks up spinning. Well that $2600 fix/repair didn't work. Thanks Autocad Architect 2018 for nothing.

I have a DesignJet 500 and it wouldn't print to the plotter, I'm using Autocad 17 with windows 10 64 bit. I was able to print a test page, but not the drawings.  This printer was connected to the print server 2012r2. I removed all drivers for the HP Designjet and deleted the port off of the server. I downloaded Windows 8 64bit driver from HP website and install it on the server. Once it was installed I sent a test page and it was successful, I then printed a drawing and it was successful. Make sure your computer is updated to the latest updates. Here is the path https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-designjet-500-printer-series/25301

This claim had dubious written all over it, I had to test.  Incredibly simple and it works!  Truth is so much stranger than fiction.  Thanks so much for thinking outside the box!!  Here's to reviving all those HP 500 roll plotters. The energizer bunny's got nothing on these things.

I'll add that during printer install, I selected the 'print to file' option as it did not like the ip address of my printer. Once the T520 😉 was installed I went to properties and changed the Port to the correct ip address and it prints perfectly!

Thanks again!

Richard

I have an issue with plot size after a power failure. Having reinstalled HP drivers plots are coming out with one quarter of the drawing filling the a1 sheet?

Brian, I unfortunately can't not assist you with this. I have stayed
current and future R19 LT, no issues like your describing. Hopefully
someone else out there has had similar issue and can assist.

Hi

I have just started experiencing plotting problems between LT16 and an HP 520 (I have 2 plotters) so it seems like acad.

I have re installed the HP drivers

It is random problems like too big a scale on part of an a1 sheet, plotting blank pages, plotting parts of drawings?

any ideas?
