Excel Data Link Formatting

Hello,

I have found posts about this issue but none of them seem to have a clear answer.

I have inserted an excel sheet using a data link, I format the table with text height, row height, alignment, etc.. I use a break to fit the table onto the desired layout. Then save and close the layout. When I re-open the layout the side that was broken away from expands to some weird formatting. Please see the attached screenshots for before saving and exiting and when I re-open the file.

I have gone into the data link settings and removed the excel formatting option, I have tried every possible combination of locking I can think of.

If someone could provide a solution for this you would be my hero.

Thank you

Based on the images alone I would say your Excel spreadsheet's own formatting took over again.

This is what I assumed as well. I disabled excel formatting through the data link settings and I still got the same result. I have tried every combination of the available settings and it re-formats every time.

any chance you can test your method with the same Excel document in a new empty file? If it fails, post both here.

I was able to mess with the formatting in excel to make it work for my specific application. Still have some issues when I adjust cells in excel and then the CAD sheet updates but I think the best route is modifying the formatting in excel.

Thank you for responding!
