Is there a way to change title block attribute values in multiple drawings?

I have a define title block, that is used on all our engineering drawings with defined attributes. Per project, all of these blocks will have the same values for certain  attributes (like address, block/lot num, project title, etc.).

Is there a command or method I can use to update specific attributes on every block in the file? For example, if I have six drawings, each with the same title block in one file, is there a command I can use to update the "ADDRESS" attribute on each block to the same value?

HI @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD LT forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

The easiest way to do this behavior across all the files in a project is to use Sheet Set Manger.  You can configure each of the properties per sheet or per project and then link FIELDS to the properties.

If you have a sample project that you can share I can mock up how the Sheet Set might work for you.

Which version of AutoCAD LT are you using?

Why not XREF the titleblock file into each of your six drawings, then only edit the title block info ONE TIME and have it show up in all 6-places?

I'm using AutoCAD LT 2018 - I'll find a sample project to share with you.

Thanks for the tip!

Hi @Anonymous,

I look forward to seeing the files from you.  As Dean wisely suggested, a simple XREF might give you some of this functionality but a sheet set will give you some extra features to help automate your sheet process.

Hi @Anonymous,

Have you been able to pull together a small project for me to set this up? I would love to show you how this might save you some time and automate some of the work for you.
