is aeccoreconsole.exe needed

I was wondering if the aeccoreconsole.exe was needed to use autocad lt. I changed the name to aeccoreconsole.exe.old as a test and autocad lt seems to be running much better without it.

does anyone have any insight as to what I will be losing as far as function or capabilities of autocad lt.

Why the question what is the problem? I have used LT for about 15 years and never even heard of it. Did you just find it somewhere (then it probably needs to be there).

Did you put it there to try and do something else (then LT will probably manage without it)

If you ask 'what is it' (not a clue), maybe you could give us some more information.
