importing file to another program

I tried importing a autoCAD drawing file into a program called pool studios that is compatible with autoCAD and it says there was an error.  I only have autoCAD lite and didn't know if that was a restriction in autoCAD lite or if there were other issues?

Did you ask that other software's tech support about that yet?
What was the error exactly?
Did you need to save the file down to an older versions first? Look it up in that other software's help file.

Hello @Anonymous,

Welcome to the Autodesk community!

A few questions for you to get a better idea of what suggestions to offer:

What release of AutoCAD LT are you working with 2018?

What version or product release are using for the pool software, is it the most recent release?

Post back in the thread if you have any other questions.

To add for the benefit of other user's who might have a similar question or issue.

An option could be;

Import the Data from a PDF File

  1. Click Insert tabImport panelPDF Import.  Find
  2. In the Import PDF dialog box, specify the PDF file that you want to import, and click Open.
  3. If the PDF has multiple pages, choose the page to import by clicking a thumbnail image or by entering a page number.
  4. Choose any of the options and click OK.
  5. Specify the insertion point if prompted.
