Help Language

In AutoCAD LT 2017, the help displays in English but prints out in some other language.   The help window shows "English" in the language selection drop down.  How can this be fixed.

Actually it may not ne a language, but glyphs.  See Attachment

That's pretty unusual. A workaround is to download and install the offline HELP and disable using online content in OPTIONS. You are able to print from that.

I have this problem on two different machines running LT 2017.

 

The offline help does not seem to be as comprehensive as the online help.  I only found the content I was looking for using the online help, but you can see what happens when I try to print.  I did, however, discover that when I right click on the link to the content, and pick Open in Browser, it takes me to the Technical Support page where I can view and print the content.

Hi @chasbo4,

 

Is this happening non all help pages or just specific ones?  How are you printing the page (which driver/printer)? I have tried this from my computer and can't can duplicate the issue.  I tired a couple different PDF drivers and both gave me this result. The error appears to only be happening in-product. I will bring this to the attention of the team.

I just picked help for the Line command at random.



The Screen Shot is what it looks like before I right click and pick Print.



This what the hard copy print out looks like. Same thing printing to my HP
LaserJet P1102w, My HP DesignJet T120, or Adobe PDF whether from my Dell XPS
desktop or Dell Inspiron Laptop.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.  I have notified the team so they can investigate. It appears to only be an issue in AutoCAD LT 2017 when printing from in-product Online Help.  Printing from the web help or from offline help should work properly.

I think you're right. The problem does only seem to be limited to the in
product ON-line help for AutoCAD LT 2017.
