AutoCAD LT 2023.  When I go to Blocks Palette Libraries Tab to build library i get the error message "File not found", and fortunately I am able to click on out of the error.

@andrew7CTM8 @alfonzogary We are all end users just like you around here.

May I ask, are you both not be on subscription? I'd understand why you'd shy away from asking Autodesk to help you fix the issue then. Just as a reminder, if you are on subscription, you are paying Autodesk to help you fix this problem.

I was not in their head to know.

Hello,
I had this issue come up in an Auto CAD fundamentals class I teach. One of the students got that error message. It’s not something I’m currently struggling with, so I’m not going to waist my time. The IT guy’s will probably be installing 2024 soon, so mute.

Thanks.

Hi @pendean ,
I'm having the same issue, how do I add a link to my libraries? is there a folder we can change the path from "Settings" by any chance?

Greetings @Attilio_Armone
As far as I know, once you get that type of error in the Libraries Tab in the Block Palette, you will be forced to reset your AutoCAD back to defaults to fix it.

If you'd rather not do that or that did not work, then open a support case with Autodesk if you are on subscription to seek out Autodesk Support's help like this

If you are on a free educational license... EDU Support Access is here, look for the new automated pop-up with common questions

Alt+F4 will get you out of that window.

Looks like some kind of bug that doesn't show close button.

If it ever happens again maybe I'll remember to try that. Is Alt+F4 some sort of computer hack? What made try or think of that?

To fix this without reinstalling, do the following:
1. Navigate to insert tab

2. Navigate to the insert button drop down

3. Select Blocks from libraries

This bring up the option to select a libraries icon in the block pallet

4. Select a dwg file that contains your blocks

And like magic the Block Libraries tab now works even after restarting

This one had me stumped for a bit.

Cheers

Thanks Rob!

I managed to find this solution from Reddit of all places, however I
definitely appreciate your answer here as it will help others.

As well, par for the course with autoCAD there is more than one solution to
any problem.
