Autocad LT 2024 does not show file explorer when trying to save or open a new file

I started trying out Autocad LT 2024 version, beforehand I was using the 2020 version.

when tryin to open a DWG file, I start the Autocad LT 2024 application, and clicked the "Open..." button, expecting to see a windows explorer browser where I will navigate into the location of my DWG file. But instead Autocad prompted me to "Enter name of srawing to open <.>:", and even if I memorized the location of the folders, it is still an unreasonable method to navigate through the folders as if we are in the 80's. The same happens when trying to save a file, it asks me to enter the full location in which I want to save it.

I tired looking for a solution, on how to change into a windows browser, but couldn't find anything.

I know I can access my files through actual windows and just start them up, but I find it easier to use it through the Autocad application, not to mention when I will want to save new files, I will have to reach the location in which I want to save it and start coping the address back into Autocad... a whole mess.

If anyone has a solution on how to change it back into the regular method I will be grateful.

@james_feurtado Have you by any chance been using a second screen?

@james_feurtado after trying to open a drawing are you able to do anything else?

If not it might be because the dialog box is off screen

What does that mean please? Elaborate, we can't see what you see.

When I go to the folder icon, to open as usual, I now get a dialog entry.

I tried to repeat what had already been suggested, which wasn't very specific to actual action.

Your screenshot looks very blurry so can’t really tell what response you get on the lower left corner. Are you able to close LT at this point? What if instead you started File Explorer in Windows and you double click a dwg file?  Does LT then open this file?

In the 'type a command' box, bottom left of screen I have this:

**** System Variable Changed ****
2 of the monitored system variables have changed from the preferred value. Use SYSVARMONITOR command to view changes.
AutoCAD menu utilities loaded.*Cancel*
Command:
Autodesk DWG. This file is a TrustedDWG last saved by an Autodesk application or Autodesk licensed application.

FIXED it

Followed this and I now again have a folder open with access to my drawings.

@james_feurtado Start a new drawing using the item ringed in blue below and then type in FILEDIA and change the value to 1.
