AutoCAD LT 2016 - Plot to PDF - Creating Red Boxes Around Text

I upgraded to 2016 LT at my office and since then when I plot to pdf there's a red box around all the text in the drawing. What causes this and how can I disable or turn it off? I've confirmed it's not the PDF viewer as it doesn't do it with previous versions of CAD and others in the office are seeing the same thing when opening the PDF.

Thanks

The red box is inside your PDF Viewer indeed: you have a feature turned on in it to highlight/box searchable text. You will need to find where that settings is in your PDF viewer since you didn't share that info with anyone here.

AutoCAD/LT2016 has this as a new feature: it's not found in older versions of AutoCAD/LT. Sadly, you cannot turn it off.

Dean,

Thank you for your response. I am using Nuance PDF. So I guess what you're saying is that AutoCAD LT '16 has a new feature that integrates searchable text when plotting to PDF and my pdf viewer has a highlight/box searchable text option on by default? Guess it's off to Nuance support.

Correct. I'm hoping Autodesk will offer an off-switch for that within 2016's year-cycle and not wait for 2017 to add it... .

Log into your subscription portal, start a support ticket, and complain about it. If enough of us do that they might move on it more quickly.

Agreed that this "Feature" is quite the annoyance.
