AutoCAD reports error message about a SHORTCUT during startup

Hi All,

My ACAD reports this message on startup:

"The following shortcuts in the plot style table search were invalid and ignored: C:\Users\Admin\Desktop\DLINK-24CC67 - Shortcut.lnk"

I guess this is a bug... ACAD mistakes an unrelevant shortcut on desktop for a ploty style file?

Can I fix this some way?

ACAD proceeds further if I press OK, but it annoys me anyway.

Not a bug, AutoCAD is asking you to fix a problem you have.

On your Windows Desktop there is a dead or missing or invalid link file you apparently have in use in your file(s) or AutoCAD session called

DLINK-24CC67 - Shortcut.lnk

You need to remove it from your Windows Desktop or fix it if you really need it.

Apparently, that file is a shortcut to our NAS server in the LAN. It's not invalid, not missing, it's ok.

I don't know how it is found broken, and even how it is found to be included in the drawing I open.

I open the dwg directly from the NAS server, but I don't see how the shortcut to the NAS gets involved here...

AutoCAD seems to think it leads to something defined in your DWG's pagesetup: until that is resolved you will continue to get the message from AutoCAD to "fix it".

I can't tell you what that is, someone at your office you set up your AutoCAD/LT might now: could be a shared PC3 file, plot style table, system driver, something.
