System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
Problem: After having worked flawlessly for about a year, yesterday I was unable to either save or open files. I can draw and plot just fine. I tried using both "Repair" and "Reinstall" from the Windows Control Panel. Unfortunately, having purchased the program by download from the Autodesk store, I don't have a CD from which I could do a total reinstall.

Thank you all so much, just had the same frustrating day trying to solve the freezing issue when trying to open/save a file on LT2010. Read this entire thread, uninstalled Drop Box, voila! Other than in AutoCad I am pretty computer illiterate and this gave me a simple fix and saved me the cost of an IT trouble shooter who would probably have ended up on the forum anyway to find the problem. Thanks agin to all!
Deleting Dropbox worked for me too. I had very similar problems with my LT 2008 today, and spent most of the day trying to sort it out. Hey presto, problem solved after uninstalling Dropbox. I might send a complaint (and a bill) to Dropbox.
To add to this thread, there has been an update for Dropbox which may cause a few problems with older releases of AutoCAD. The development team is aware of the issue and are working on it.
For additional help here is a link for steps to uninstall Dropbox. I will be sure to circle back with any updates.
is there a fix for Dropbox yet? Working without Dropbox becomes more difficult as you need to save to an external HD to take it home to continue to work and do not forget to brig it back to the office the next day!
Waiting for a fix for this
Thank you!
I know DropBox came out with a updated build that resolved the issues with AutoCAD LT.
