Yes. How do you do that please?

Hi @Anonymous,
I like to use the PROJECTGEOMETRY feature in AutoCAD.
I made a quick video for you on how I suggest using this.
I first created a cylinder object.
Next I created my text, then exploded it with the ExpressTools TXTEXP.
I clean up the outlines of the text.
Then, I use PROJECTGEOMETRY to select the cylinder and then the objects to project.
I hope this helps.

Hi John, that was GREAT! AND SIMPLE. Thank you very much.
My intention is to build up an emboss from that. I try it on several ways but did not work to build up a surface from the splines resulted.
Could you help out with that too please?
Hi @Anonymous,
I am always willing to try. Can you attach some files and show me what you are trying to accomplish?
Hi @Anonymous,
Similar to my previous technique, you can also use IMPRINT to get the outlines onto the surface. Embossing has been more of a challenge for me in the past. I usually presspull my text (or shape) to have some thickness to it. Then I move the 3D text so that it is inserted into the solid of the cylinder in your case. Then I just perform a Subtract.
Does this work or do you need a precise embossed "cavity" depth?

Yes, it goes the to subtract/slice operation which can be also done twice to keep the same high of the text on the curved surface, I was only wondering if it goes all in one go somehow. But I have it like that just fine. Thank you very much for helping out.
Thanks for the mention, Patchy. As additional support of the recommendation here's a screen cast illustrating the use of the uvVectorMapping app.
Depending on the degree of wrap, the process demonstrated can maintain letter proportions better than direct IMPRINT of extruded geometry
is the uvVectorMapping app available on the appstore? I couldn't find it.
