I have a optical frame tracer takubomatic fd80 and ı am getting trace information as ascıı code like below

TRCFMT=1;400;E;R;F
R=2700;2709;2719;2728;2739;2749;2759;2770;2781;2792;2803;2815;2826;2838;2851
R=2863;2877;2889;2901;2913;2926;2938;2950;2962;2973;2985;2997;3009;3021;3033 ........

The R means radius. ı would like to get this drawing in auto cad but ı dont know how ı can be import this ascı code to auto cad. I search lot but ı did not find anything can  some one help me about it please.I just add my tracer output file. You can see fulll.

Hi,

>> The R means radius

Sorry, this is not enough information, I even don't know what these 3 ascii files should show.

"R" is radius does not mean anything here as the big amount of numbers is not described, what does the other numbers mean?

I was also not able to find any documentation about this device and it's output.

And maybe important too: what does this data have to do with CAD?

A bit more information is necessary to get suggestions or solutions in the replies.

Hi,

thank you for the link with the description of the ASCII-data.

First guess to this: if this manufacturer does not have a file-format that can be imported in AutoCAD I would not know any way to get these values imported in AutoCAD, at least not OOTB, maybe an app exists (ask the reseller or manufacturer of this device).

Second: at least for me it is too specific to a branch to understand wordings like "TRCFMT record" or "ZFMT record" (and much more inside this document) to be able (and to have time enough) to think about the steps which might help to import the data. Therefor sorry, I'm out.

Hello Dear All;

I found solution and ı would like to share here to help someone maybe need in the future. The tracer output .txt file was like thi

TRCFMT=1;400;E;R;F
R=2700;2710;2721;2732;2743;2754;2764;2775;2785;2796;2808;2820;2832;2843;2854
R=2865;2875;2885;2894;2904;2913;2922;2931;2939;2948;2956;2963;2970;2975;2980
R=2984;2987;2988;2989;2988;2986;2982;2978;2972;2966;2958;2950;2941;2930;2919

and ı relise the number 2700;2710..... means how far from the center and there is a 400 diffrent mesurment there and ı make one script file as like below

multiple line
0,00 @Anonymous.00<0.90
0,00 @Anonymous.10<1.80
0,00 @Anonymous.21<2.70
0,00 @Anonymous.32<3.60
0,00 @Anonymous.43<4.50
0,00 @Anonymous.54<5.40
0,00 @Anonymous.64<6.30..................

0,00 means x and y cordinate is orgin  one space for command and @Anonymous.64 is how long will be my line and <6.30 is degree . ı did this for 360 degre .

I try to explain soryy my bad english.

You have a great day for everyone.

What do you know about the header section (especially the HBOX, VBOX fields)?

REQ=FIL
CIRC=172.52;172.52
CSIZ=00.00;00.00
HBOX=55.73;55.73
VBOX=49.06;49.06
DBL=0,00
FTYP=2
ETYP=1

See the attached drawing, the space between centers is still up in the air.

Hello Dear Terry;

I dont know what are they but ı am just guessing they are frame outside dimention. I am just guessing maybe ı am wrong.

I guess I was looking so hard for a value defining the DBC (distance between centers) that I overlooked the obvious, you are right about HBOX/VBOX.  I suppose the "DBC" varies with the bridge used and can vary by person.

In looking around, I see where some people want to use CAD to design frame shapes and create .OMA files directly from CAD, which is possible (with custom code) also.

Teryy;

our tracer doesnt mesure center to center bc this tracer made for just get a lens dimention. The tracer neadle (read point) When read one side dimention after it is going back inside of the machine and slide all the way other side and comeing out for read other side but it is not mesuring bride.

Hello my friend, how did you convert the OMA file into CAD? I am also looking for a way to do this, thanks in advance.
