The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005)

I have autocad2016 installed to my laptop, and was using it with no problems until now. All of sudden, I started to receive and error message (see subject line of this post). I tried to uninstall an reinstall the oftware multiple times, even clearing the previous registry entries, as much as I could, but couldn't solve the problem. Please help urgently...

Welcome to Autodesk Community!

 

For your case, I suggest first try to reset AutoCAD 2015 see if works:

 

1  Click Windows Start memu and All Programs

2  Find AutoCAD 2015 under the Autodesk

3  Click "Reset settings to Default"

Thank you for the response. I tried doing that before, however it didn't help. Besides, my problem was with Autocad 2016, not with 2015.

In any case, I solved the problem by uninstalling one of the very recent Windows updates on my laptop, and everything is back to normal now. Others with similar problems may try the same, but be cautious with uninstalling Windows updates.
