some grip on polyline do not have add/remove vertex function

I stay the cursor on the grip for a while, there is a window pop-up for me to add or remove that grip. However, some point do not have that window. What is the reason?

I suspect its because more than 1 vertex has been stacked on top of each other.

to test it for your self, draw a random multipart polyline. any of the vertex will behave as you would expect, then grab one of the vertex and place it over another. it now loses the add remove ability as it does not know which of the two vertex to deal with.

one way around this is use PEDIT, click the polyline, chose edit vertex, hitting return will bring you on to the next etc. if you see return does not move on to the next visible vertex, you have a stacked vertex in that location, so chose move, that will allow you to adjust one of the two vertex, making it visible to you. you can them remove it.
