showing 3d cylindrical contour in 2d

My cylinder does not show the dashed line like the red stroke in the example image, how can I get it to show? Thank you very much. Sorry for my bad English.

No, AutoCAD does not show lines like yours between two projected circles representing a hidden cylinder (in modelspace and visual styles like "Hidden").

 

What you can use to get these lines plotted is to use the function _VIEWBASE (and further objects based on this like details and sections to get e.g. this:
