Sheet List Table Date Format & Custom Fields

Hello All,

Looking for some help with our Sheet Set indexing!

We have been looking at adding an index page to our sheet set templates (we just copy a template Sheet Set between all of our unit folders). In any case, every time we copy a sheet set, we are looking to have a premade index page that automatically updates with the desired properties.

This works great for fields such as "Sheet Number" and "Sheet Title", but for a field like "Last Revised" (which is a renamed version of "Drawing Save Date") you can see it pulls the date as full text. We would like this date to read as...

"2023/11/22 11:43:26 AM". I have tried adding a custom "Date" table cell style but because this data is pulled in as text it ignores the date formatting rules in the cell. Is there a way to pull this data in this format without having to enter it into every drawing or manually into the table?

Second part of this question is about adding a plot stamp to this table.

Mainly what we are looking to create is a record of what state each drawing in this packet is currently in. To do this we need to add a column that identifies the current state of each drawing (aka. what drawing stamp is on it [for example: "ISSUED FOR REVIEW" or "RELEASED FOR CONSTRUCTION", etc.]). If we have a custom "Plot Stamp" using the Sheet set manager is there a way to pull that information into this table automatically?

Sheet set seems great at first glance but reality sets in when you try to anything bar the absolute basics with it.

Have a look at using a drawing register & the update attributes lisp http://www.lee-mac.com/updatetitleblock.html. You can update attribute values from in blocks in individual drawing files. You can then datalink to your register for the Drawing Index.

They use a very similar system on multi-billion dollar projects all the time. It even scales down well 2-3 sheet projects. Bit of setup investment, not too difficult, totally worth it.
