Solved: Setting the default Printer

Hi,

I'm running AutoCAD 2016 and have set the default out put device within my profile, however when I click print this device is not showing up as my default. Any ideas?

Hi,

What you show us in the image affect only the new drawing . existing drawings are not affected by this settings.my advice is to use Page Setup Manager because AutoCAD uses a page setup to set an output device for each drawing instead of using a default device for any drawings.

File tab > Page Setup Manager

AutoCAD does not work like that: never has either.

For existing drawings, you have to use PAGESETUP command to set them up to do what you want. Separately. You can automate with Lisp or a menu macro too: up for that? You did spend a lot of money on a program that is designed for you to customize.
