Setting the default Printer

Hi,

I'm running AutoCAD 2016 and have set the default out put device within my profile, however when I click print this device is not showing up as my default. Any ideas?

Hi,

What you show us in the image affect only the new drawing existing drawings are not affected by this settings.my advice is to use Page Setup Manager because AutoCAD uses a page setup to set an output device for each drawing instead of using a default device for any drawings.

File tab > Page Setup Manager

Good Luck..

AutoCAD does not work like that: never has either.

For existing drawings, you have to use PAGESETUP command to set them up to do what you want. Separately. You can automate with Lisp or a menu macro too: up for that? You did spend a lot of money on a program that is designed for you to customize.
