Scaling paperspace automatically and formating

Hi Guys,

Please see the attachment "Paperspace scale".

I have found a method of creating a dynamic scale on the paperspace if I do the following instruction:

Have PageSpace activated

> CMD: Field

>Field Name: Object

>Object type: Viewport (click on PageSpace)

>Property: Custom scale

>Format: Use scale name

CMD: REGEN (To automatically update fields)

The problem I have is that the automatic scales this way appear as the following format "1:XX.YYYY"

I would rather the scale be rounded to the closes "1:XX"

Any ideas?

Thanks,

James

My other related question is regarding "Scale.jpg" see attached.

I am wondering if it is possible to make a dynamic scale (similar to google maps when zooming in and out) that shows a length and how many mm or m that distance is on that drawing?

1) Like this perhaps or something else https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-forum/lisp-to-create-viewports-from-modelspace/td-p/8777003

2) You'll need to do that scale bar manually as a dynamic block perhaps.

Hi,

>> Object type: Viewport (click on PageSpace)

You may need to select the VP itself .

Hi,

if the evaluated field shows like "1:98.8497" then this means you have not a valid scale assigned to this viewport.

Rounding the value may show a value you want to see, but this would not be the correct value. Therefor I strongly recommend to assign a valid scale to the viewport, then you do not have the need to round this value.
