Reverse spline to polyline conversion - Get spline back fewer segments

I've converted a spline to a polyline, and it asked me to apply a certain precision (1-99)

I selected 1, dividing my line up in a dozen segments. Now when working with this line I experience major delays and overall lag. When I import the line into Inventor to perform a sweep function along the line, the program gets stuck and doesn't respond.

Now my question is how do I convert back to the polyline that I used to have with fewer segments? I tried .PEDIT, SPLINE, JOIN, without success.

Thanks for reaching out. I've just now managed to solve my problem. Took me the entire afternoon to figure it out. CVREBUILD did the trick for me. Removed all the unnecessary vertexes (it had around a 1000) Lag is gone and I can sweep along the path now. This board can be closed
