measuring angles in 3d environment?

I have a slopping line that slops different amounts at every change of direction. I rotated my view a little bit and drew my slopping line hoping to measure the angle of each change of direction. I attempted to use the dimension tool for angles by selecting line 1 and then line 2, it said lines are parallel?

What can i do to measure the angle between the lines?

Thank Steve

The magenta dimension line above Line 1 indicates that the UCS's XY plane may be vertical in which case Line 1 and Line 2 are parallel when viewed perpendicular to the XY plane.  Create a UCS that contains Lines 1, 2, and 3 in its XY plane then add an angular dimension.

I have attached the dwg file. The angles are very small on the sloping lines.

The link below to a short video shows how the slope of Route Lines and the angle between adjacent Route Line segments is displayed.  Route lines are typically used in the layout of sloped piping systems.

Existing  lines, polylines and even other ROUTE LINES can be combined into new Route Lines.

Route Lines can be sloped, copied, stretched, trimmed, joined, adjusted, and exploded.
