Replacing a template

Hi,

Is it possible to replace a template on an existing drawing?

Hi,

No, because a template in AutoCAD is just a drawing with predefined settings where you started your work. Within that drawing there is nothing a  "template" stored.

What you might be able to do (depending on which settings you have changed in your drawing):

Create a new drawing based on your template you want to have.

Open your current project drawing and use copy & paste (command _COPYBASE and _PASTECLIP) to copy your modelspace content into the "original" template (don't forget to thaw all layers and turn them on).

Do you mean "thaw"? Then it's a state of a layer (thawed or frozen) and so objects are visible/selectable or not.

What are you trying to fix exactly? explain in more detail, AutoCAD does not work the way you describe.
