Hi,

welcome @forums.autodesk.com!

This is a user-to-user forum, I guess you won't get any phone number from other guy's here.

What question do you have?

I am trying to install my ACAD Architecture software on my new computer
which runs Windows 7 Ultimate. The software is said to be compatible with
Windows 7 , yet when I try to install it claims installation is not
possible as the software in not compatible with the operating system.

I would be really great to be able to talk to someone to see if there is a
work-around, as I am in great need of getting back to work...

I get that now.

I am trying to install AutoCAD Architecture 2011 on my computer which runs Window 7 Ultimate.  Its a new computer for me and Autodesk claims this software is compatible with this operating system.  Yet the error message I get when I try to install is that the software in NOT compatible with the operating system and so will not allow installation.

Hi,

>> possible as the software in not compatible with the operating system.

Make sure that you have downloaded the correct installation files, differentiating 32bit and 64bit. If you have Windows 7 64bit you have to download and install AutoCAD Architecture 64bit (the 32bit ACA would not be allowed to install in that case ... and vice versa for 32bit operating system and 64bit ACA).

Thanks, upon installing the 64 bit version (I have the disk) I now have
gotten a bit farther in the installation, though it still fails-just a bit
further along now. Now it aborts installation after it fails to create a
directory for ACAD 2011. Not sure why it would fail at this, it offers no
explanation. But repeated attempts now always result in this failure and
then an abort.

Hi,

Looks like you either don't have enough permissions (to create a folder) or there are limitations by antivirus or other defending software which blocks this.

Please follow >>>that rules<<< for installing a software.
