PDFIMPORT is turning the pdf into a png...

...so now I have a referenced image file.  AutoCad also created a file folder called "PDF Images" to store said .png.

My guess is that the PDF I'm trying to import is a document scanned into PDF, thus the imported image file.

Am I stuck with this, or is there a trick I don't know about?

Thanks!

Hi,

Could be correct, at least the PDF has only raster/image content.

To get vectors in AutoCAD you'll need to have vectors in the PDF.

Hi,

Your guess is correct the PDF is scanned document. You need to trace over the xrefed image and that's the only option left.

There are a few online converters that would convert the Raster image into dwg. You can give it a try, but I doubt you would be satisfied with the end result.
