Pasted as a block

Hello, does anyone know why when I copy an object (polyline, text, etc.) to another drawing, it pastes it as a block?

Typically we see this when a user is using CTRL+SHIFT+V to paste their objects.

If you are cutting or copying objects with CTRL+X or CTRL+C then be sure you are using CTRL+V for placement of the objects.

Watch your command line to see the string reflects this.

Also, if your source drawing has XREF's you may need to re-attach the XREF to get things working properly.

thanks for responding, I effectively use ctrl + c and ctrl + v to place the objects, in the command line I get this message when I want to place the objects: _pasteclip Specify insertion point:
there is no problem when I use the "copy" command

Nothing wrong with the prompt as you must specify the position to place/paste the objects.  Blocks also have insertion points but you always need an insertion point for pasting objects too.

The drawing had references, which made them block with the bind / insert and that block exploits it.
I think that's where the copying and paste problem started.
to solve this problem I have to copy everything to another new drawing, and it is solved recently.
I always work with reference and I always have to do that procedure to solve the copy and paste.
How can this be resolved?

Is the object you are copying already a block? As @beyoungjr says, just because it is asking for an insertion point doesn't mean it is pasting as a block - it is just asking where in the drawing you want to copy the objects to.

Try this: once you have pasted your selection, click on it and use command "PROPERTIES". What type of object does the properties box say it is? Block, or something else? If a block, what is its name? When using the PASTEBLOCK command, AutoCAd generates a random name eg A$DEFJ68HFD. If the block has a 'normal' looking name, then the original oject you copied was probably a block already.

You can always just EXPLODE the block anyway to get your editable geometry back.

I opened your file and I was able to Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V as normal, it didn't paste as a block. 

Here's my command line:

Command: _ai_selall Selecting objects...done.

Command: *Cancel*

I am using plain AutoCAD 2017. I get an error relating to AEC objects:

 I don't think that should be causing your problem though.

There was a similar thread a while back, i'll see if I can find it but I don't think there was a solution as nobody could reproduce the problem.

I was able to copy paste normal as well. 

you may want top run overkill on your drawing as well. There were lots of duplicated objects.
