Online Maps

Hi,

i have been trying to plot the Online Map. But it does not.

What I am doing is that I go to Geo Location > Online Maps > Capture Area. I make a rectangle.

I press Ctrl P. It says. Online Map will not be printed. To print it, you must capture the area.

Hi,

>> What I am doing is that I go to Geo Location > Online

>> Maps > Capture Area. I make a rectangle.

And after you have captured your area you can turn OFF the online-map (as you already have captured content).

Now plot ... do you get the message now again?

Hi,

have you closed and restarted AutoCAD and reopened the file? Does zoom-out refresh anything from the aerial image content?

Can you please upload that dwg-file in that state (online-mapping turned off).

Also please start command _ABOUT and show us a screenshot of that dialog so we know which product/version/service pack you are using.

I have uploaded the file. I want to plot the layout with the Online Map.

Hi,

I opened your file, where asked if I want to use online-map (answered with yes).

I then run _AUDIT and found 25 errors

I then run command _PLOT and created the PDF ... during that command I was not asked anything about online-maps.

(but I also don't see any captured area within your file, just the area reserved for that)

I was running AutoCAD 2020 ... and you?

I am using Autocad LT 2019
What do you mean by area reserved? I make a rectangle after selecting
capture area and thats about it. Am I supposed to do something else as well?

i am using Autocad LT 2020.

Is this the correct way to capture an area? I click on capture area and then make a rectangle

And when I run Audit. It only showed one error. How come you got 25

Yes, but when I open your dwg-file I see the rectangle assigned to a captured area, but I don't get the content displayed and I can't update it.

>> when I run Audit. It only showed one error

Did you run _AUDIT with AutoCAD 2019 or 2020, not clear from the above statements.

Even if you only get one error ... when you plot after the dwg was repaired, do you again get the message about online-map can't be plotted?

Exactly. What's the reason behind this?

I mean like you mentioned. When I draw the rectangle. It selects the area
but when I turn off the map. The whole map shuts down. The rectangular area
doesn't stay available. In my drawing even you can see a rectangle but no
image is being shown.

Hi,

can reproduce that, seems something in the drawing is not working any more with geomap ... I would suggest to remove the current capture, then use copy & paste to transfer your geometry to a new drawing and then try the online-map usage in thew new drawing again.

I just had this issue. I had to change the layer of the captured area off of the 0 layer. After this, it worked fine.
