New dwg defaults to template

So, I'm not sure what I changed but every time I open a new tab in Autocad, it automatically opens a drawing template I have on my computer every single time. Where is this pulling the file from and can this be changed back to default?

Is this where I need to be changing information?

So why would it still be opening a template when the file location says "none"?

I'm not sure why it still uses a template. I just tried it and it opened a template for me too.  If I right click on the plus sign and select new it opens a dialog to choose a dwg file.

Accepted solution

I think when you click the plus to add a new dwg it opens the last template used. I just used the NEW command at the command line and selected a different template and then used the plus and it started with that template again.

I believe that the first time you create a new dwg with the template set to NONE, it uses acad.dwt, or at least the settings from that file.
