Name of the edited Block

Hello, I would like to have visual information on the name of the block being edited when I am in the block editor, this existed on old versions. Sometimes I need this information when I make a lot of changes to a block. I generally run the "Test block" command to have access to the properties but it is not the most practical! THANKS.

'test block' command? Do you mean while inside BEDIT command, BTESTBLOCK command?

Which year version back was it performing differently? I don't remember anything different.

Just open the Properties window and the name of the Block currently being edited is shown under the Block section next to Block name column

[Which variety of Block editing are you using?  I find that @paullimapa's suggestion in Message 3 works if it's BEDIT, but not if it's REFEDIT.]

Block Editor is BEDIT, and for RefEdit: REFEDITNAME

Thank you very much for your response @paullimapa , I would add a little clarification, no element of the block must be selected to have this information. In version 2006 of AutoCAD, the name of the block being edited was displayed above the graphics area.

Hi,

This is the old style / Bedit Toolbar.

Since 2009 the ribbon is standard and if you are using the ribbon, there is no field like this.

follow the steps:

Command: RIBBONCLOSE

go to Command: BEDIT

you seeing the toolbar you talked about, incl the name field

Command: RIBBON

* If you like to have both (ribbon & whole toolbar), that should be possible by, but it wasn't the idea of Adesk / no standard.
