Please explain in more detail. Is the command "Xref" not working? Were they already attached and now they are not?

when I try to xref a drawing file into the my working drawing, the xref completes the process but then does not attach the xref...

Can you attach a copy of the drawing.

Maybe it's incompatible version.

Try command INSERT, if it can be used it can be an xref.

No problem here,

Insert it at 0,0,0 then EXPLODE it, Zoom Extent, CTRL+A  this is what I see.

This is a test to show nothing wrong with your drawing using when insert command.

Your drawing is way out there.

Can you be more specific?

The drawing you posted, you are trying to xref a drawing into that? Yet it won't attach? Is that correct? (are there circular xrefs involved?)

Ok.  I can insert the drawing, explode it and can see it out in space,  But that does not solve the xref proplem (actually i've been inserting the xref as a work around)

Xref, detach all, re xref, see if that'll work.

I actually have a different name for the xref. so no circular referrences.  and yes. thats the drawing I am trying to attach the references... got the drawing from the architect.. the architects drawing is really  #%#%^ up

I'm afraid to detach the references that are aready attached.. just in case they will not re-attach...

My suggestion was a test to see why it doesn't show up, if you don't save the drawing, no harms done.

The arch's drawing is as good as any drawings I have seen, why you say it messed up?

When I received the floor plan all the text was at an angle.  which is another problem that I have trouble fixing..
