.lsp file will not run in AutoCad2020

Hi All,

So I have a .lsp file that I have been using in AutoCAD 2014 for a few years, and it has been working fine. I have upgraded my computer and my software to 2020 and now the .lsp will load, but will not run. It says error; quit/ abort.

 

Anyone know how I can try and make it work? The original script was written in 2004.

try to load from appload command and see if helps. thanks

Assuming your LSP is in SFSP.

And apart from what  @ennujozlagam replied, one of the possibilities is some system variable(s) used in your LSP have been updated/revised by Autodesk.

Can you upload your LSP file?

Thanks very much for your suggestion. That is how I was trying to load it. That and in the 'User Interface'.

Hi, Thanks. Yes that is as far as I get. I then use CSNDGS command to run it, but that is where it comes unstuck. It should open a dialogue box.

Try linking the DCL file which seems to be missing with the lisp.

Thankyou!!! I had to move both files into C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2020\Support to make it work, it wouldn't work from anywhere else. Thanks very much!

Please move your "custom files" away from the default AutoCAD directory.

Create a directory for your utilities and provide a support path (SFSP)
to the directory. Command OPTIONS --> Files tab --> Support File Search Path.
Also declare a Trusted Locations path to this same directory.

Now you are able to migrate/transfer/archive much easier...
