Hey everyone,
AutoCAD 2019 here and fairly new at CAD. When I design a construction plans, I attach a location map in the top right corner (see screenshot) using GIS road lines and importing it as polylines. This could be ambitious but is there a way to link the location map and paperspace viewport so that whatever is visible in the viewport is highlighted or zoomed in on the location map? I attached two screenshots of what my ambition would be. Given the viewports in the paperspace, the location map highlights or possibly zooms in to give a better visual of where on the map the drawing is referring to
Not OOTB. The best way would be to make the viewports align with the grid of the site/project and then you could manually hatch the area it represents.
Having said that, there could be a LISP routine or code/app that does it for you. Did you look on the AutoCAD App Store?
