Hi,

If do you mean that you want to make these lines one segment poly line you can do it by PEDIT < ( J ) command.or BPOLY command. if do you mean any thing else please give us more info.. 🙂

Good Luck..

I just checked and it worked fine in 2017?

J for join

select all lines

results in a single closed polyline

All lines are on the same Z. I don't see any reason why it shouldn't.

What version are you using?

They all joined with PEDIT, but why didn't they with JOIN?

Doesn't JOIN also turn into polylines?

Hi,

join command is used to Join the endpoints of linear and curved objects to create a single object.also it's design to NOT join Construction lines, rays, and closed objects.

Another route is:

PE for Polyline Edit

J for Join

M for multiple

<select all the lines you want to join>

And then you set a fuzz distance in there somewhere.

With no lines selected, type PE for Polyline Edit, then M for Multiple.

Select the objects, then hit enter (I use right-click).

It will ask for a fuzz distance.  This is the distance from each other that the ends of the lines can be and have it still join them.  Usually I just use 0.1 (depending on scale and units this might change), a small distance so any lines that are so close to touching that they LOOK touching but aren't, and it will go ahead and just join them (assuming they are on the same elevation and what-not).
