Is there a way to creating countour linework from elevation color mapping?

Hi all,

I have imported a point cloud into AutoCAD and my task is pulling the floor topography out.  I have successfully created a color map by elevation, but my question is, can AutoCAD automatically create the actual contour line work or do I have to manually trace the apparent contours where the colors change to indicate grade?

Thanks,

Joe M.

HI @joemcninch,

I just found this post from a few weeks ago.  Were you able to resolve the issue?  If the point cloud consists of structured data there is SOME intelligence to the way you can create certain geometry from the point cloud. Otherwise, you will need to "trace" by snapping to the point cloud points.
