Inserted (overlay) xref file does not show its attached (ovelay) xrefs

Greetings,

I have a file with TitleBlock and I have tried hard to insert as xref a file wchich has many xref files attached (overlay).

Alas, only the content of attached (xref-overlay) file is shown/present and not its all xrefs attached (overlay).

Perhaps this way should be clearer:

I have a new file with Tblock (layout) - A

I have been trying to attach as xref (overlay) a file B

File B has attached as xref (overlay) several files - C, D, E, etc

My goal is to have the all content of the file B including C, D and E in the file A.

I would be deeply thankful for any elucidation and any suggestion.

Thank you very much in advance.

PS

In a preview window (while attaching the file B as xref) I can see all its content including all its xrefs ( C, D, E, etc)

@artur.chojnacki,

Open file B

Change XREFs C, D, and E to "Attachment"...

...Then you can XREF B into A and they will show

(Overlays show in 1 level of XREF only, they do NOT carry over with the dwg they are XREF'd into, Attachments DO carry with the dwg they are XREF'd into).

Best,

~DD

I do thank you very much.

As mentioned I remain deeply thankful for your splendid explication, well illustrated.

My best regards

PS

Just one more, please.

In case if any of xrefs attached to the file B is updated, will it be any automatic notice displayed on the changes made?
