imaginary dotted line appearing while drawing

hi ..suddenly while working on a file i found out that earlier i used to get this imaginary yellow dotted line before drawing an actual line. now it is not showing . it was helping me calculate distance from a wall and from that distance i was adding a line.

Any idea how to get it back??

Curious, because you can't disable it since 10versions.

The orange(yellow) dashed line is the "rubber band".

Dotted are the mentioned polartrack and otrack, but standard color is green!

Exactly, you can't turn it off, but maybe the color has been changed, like the background?
