How to display the center line so that the strokes are always symmetrical?

Hi，

I'v received a dwg file from a company. In the drawing, the strokes or line segments of the center line and hidden lines are always symmetrical, no matter what the length is.

Does anyone know how to do it? Thanks in advance.

That's the way AutoCAD draws them.  Are they not coming out that way for you?

If you're talking about Polylines, and the difference between something like these:

[assymmetrical on the left, symmetrical on the right], that's controlled by the LINETYPE GENERATION setting.  To always draw them symmetrically, set the PLINEGEN System Variable to 0.  For one already drawn, select it and look at the bottom of the Properties palette for the Linetype Generation slot, and disable it.

@Alfred.NESWADBA @imadHabash The attached linetype.dwg file shows the symmetry of the centerline strokes, no matter how you drag an endpoint, it can be maintained.

@Kent1Cooper @GrantsPirate Symmetrical display of strokes does not seem to be the default. The entities in the attached file not_symmetric.dwg are copied from linetype.dwg, but the strokes of the centerlines are not symmetrical.

Thanks for your attached drawing samples .... Both of your drawings has a different settings , but are not limited to, the following :

• one of them use metric units and the other use Imperial units . >> Click << 
• depending on the above point ...  Linetypes are defined in a linetype definition (LIN) file. When you load a linetype, you select the linetype definition file and a specific linetype from within that file. Two linetype definition files are available: acad.lin for imperial units, and acadiso.lin for metric units.  
• LTSCALE ( System variable ) for both drawings are different .
• also from UNITS command you will find differences .

for that you have to make sure when you start a new drawing what kind of settings you have in your drawing to get a good results and to avoid such a problem as you have .

Thank you everyone, I know why. The center line data was generated by a program. If the center line data is reloaded in the Autocad interface, the center line strokes are always displayed symmetrically. As for why the centerline data generated by this program can not always display the centerline strokes symmetrically, it is not clear.
