how do i get autocad 2018 to work properly in this laptop?

why is virtual device showing directx 9 ?? the directx installed on the machine is 12. 

All other laptops in school showing directx 11 as virtual devicecad and works fine.

The student says they believe becayse of this they cant check high quality geometry which is needed for their school work

Any ideas how to solve this problem??

Does the student need to buy a whole new laptop or can this be fixed easily??

Your video driver needs to be updated? AutoCAD only uses what if finds compatible on your laptop.

You also have the unfortunate Intel HD Graphics, which will not do much for AutoCAD's performance anyway, it is a very base model option. That could be the problem too but we do not have a low end laptop like that here for me to test.

Are you trying to solve a performance problem? Or is this just a wishlist/me too desire?
